    Yellow Super Power Smoothie

Bring on the Super Power in Pineapple! I was not certain about how super this would turn out. Mostly, I had just not even entertained the idea of a super-power yellow smoothie. What would the ingredients be for this and how will it taste- were both my questions. Then I just I made a list of the yellow healthy foods that I would include and went for it. In addition to a tang of citrus, I thought there needed to be some sweetness, so honey and lemon are often put together in a tea. Why not in the Rainbow Yellow Smoothie? Bring on the Super Power in Beets! Roots and fruits, this super power smoothie is so full of vitamins and energy you will feel your superpower emerge. However, I found that the blending of just roots makes the flavor really strong, so I cut that with the addition of blueberries. Cancer-Fighting smoothie recipe in blue

Bring on the Blueberries! In an attempt to come up with an actual blue smoothie, I blended together frozen blueberries with blueberry kefir. If you don’t have kefir, which is not always available, you can use any of your favorite probiotic rich yogurts. I personally prefer to use low or nonfat Stonyfield Organic Plain yogurt. With your smoothie maker blend together the following ingredients ½ C. frozen blueberries ¾ C.  plain low or non-fat yogurt ½ tsp fresh…

Ginger is now being researched for its cancer fighting strength and is said to be 10,000 times stronger than chemo: https://foodrevolution.org/blog/ginger-cancer-treatment/ This is reasoning enough for me to add it to anything I can. Turmeric is one of those daily spices for me. I try to make sure get plenty of it. My doctor recommended 5-7 grams. I believe it helps with the inflammation in my joints. I use to have pain in my hands and now it is gone, so…

Armored Greens a Super Power smoothie

Bring on the Super Power in Greens If cancer taught me anything it is that I am healthy. As strange as this sounded to me at first, I have come to learn that I could have died from breast cancer and I DIDN’T. Namely, because I make an effort to power up my nutrition with greens. Obviously, I am here and I am grateful for the habits that I maintain. In addition, believe that I did not have chemotherapy or radiation because of my healthy habits. For the most part, I stick to the superpower in greens and will mix things up as they come into season. One of my favorite…
