A Breast Cancer Warrior  I was diagnosed with a very rare and extremely advanced breast cancer in early 2014. I was 39 years old and had no other health issues at the time. Sitting in that doctor’s office, hearing about what was going to be my course of action, the only thing I could think about was losing my hair. I know it seems silly, right? As she began to speak the guy, across the table from her, talked right over her and was finishing her point-with something unrelated. He interrupted…

Toxic Work Environment the importance of empowering women. Women are struggling to find support from other women in their own workplace. It is as if they are working against each other in the same office. They are emotionally detached and lack empathy. On this coffee morning conversation,  I learned of my friend’s parent who has slow-moving cancer that may not need to be operated on. Our conversation led to her discussing her struggles to deal with it when at work. She is stressed about the staff who do not engage with her, and she is heartbroken by the women who are not even asking her how she is each day…
